Adult Dog
This is for dogs over 18 months
This class is designed as a progression from teenage puppy. If you and your dog have not completed this level with Pooch Paws nor attended training before then you may not be given the targets set out below, you may be given the teenage puppy targets to work towrads instead.

TARGETS
SIT – On command, no food lures, no over encouraging hand signals and on the lead walking side in correct position
DOWN – On command, no food lures, no over encouraging hand signals and on the lead walking side in correct position
STAND – On command, no food lures, no over encouraging hand signals and on the lead walking side in correct position
WATCH - On cue for 10 seconds slight distraction
HANDLING/INSPECTION/GROOM – In a stand without a struggle
RECALL – Return WHEN instructed 15 paces away
LEAD WALKING – Starting inside, going outside, showing door control on exit and re-entry without pulling or tension on the lead without lure
STAY - 2 minutes, 10 paces away able to do in sit and down
PLAY - Can play with dog and stop play when required
LEAVE - Can walk past items of instructors choice
POO BAGS – Always on your person
ID TAGS – To have correct information
DOOR – Incorporated with the lead walk exercise
TRICK – Can perform 2 tricks on command with no food lure
INFORMATION - To be fully knowledgeable on the relevant dog laws
What you need to bring with you:
Brush
2 toys
Poo bags
Suitable lead – i.e. trigger hook lead either material or leather
Suitable fitting collar – i.e. material buckle collar
Vaccination card
Suitable treats no bigger than 5mm in diameter (make sure whatever you bring will not give your puppy an upset tummy)
Clicker – can be purchased if necessary
Suitable pockets for your treats or a treat pouch
A small blanket or towel
A positive attitude!
