what will I learn
POOCH PAWS DOG TRAINING CLUB SCHEME: PPDTCS
There are SEVEN levels to work through which complement the Kennel Club Scheme tests plus inject some extras. Take a look below for more information on the exercises covered. Exercises that are repeated across levels progress in difficulty to achieve a higher standard of training. You are provided with more information on these exercises once you have signed up for a class.
BRONZE LEVEL: Once this is passed you can begin to work on gundog training.
SILVER LEVEL: At this level you can begin Rally Obedience training.
PPDTCS TESTS
Tests will occur every 12-weeks. You can submit for testing sooner via video if you are a joined to a yearly membership subject to an assessment fee.

KENNEL CLUB GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME: KCGCDS.
“The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest dog training programme in the UK. Now a well-established dog training programme that has been in operation since 1992. The Scheme is open to all dogs, young or old, pedigree or Crossbreed, whether Kennel Club registered or not.”
To sit for any KCGCDS, you must first pass PPDTCs. * When applicable: there has to be a minimum of 4 owners ready and willing to take the test and an outside examiner has to be pre-booked which is subject to availability. There is a cost of £10 per handler/dog team to sit the test which usually takes place on weekends only. You may not be tested within the group of dogs you are usually training with.
